Entrance Gate Pillars on Garden Road

The entrance on Garden Road, first identified on a map in 1867, offers visitors access to the Gardens. A pair of entrance gate pillars adorned by square pyramidal granite blocks with staircase shaped edges are still in use up to present times, exuding a unique ambience of great antiquity. The pair is one of the most historical building components in the Gardens.
